Lucinda brings 20 years of experience with media relations, communications strategy, writing and editing to newsPRos clients in the Philadelphia area. As a former newspaper reporter, she has a keen understanding of media preferences, giving her an edge when working with reporters on her clients’ behalf.
Prior to joining newsPRos, Lucinda worked as a communications and public relations consultant in the Philadelphia area. With an emphasis in media relations, she provided strategic communications planning and public relations services to clients in a variety of industries and sectors, including financial services, healthcare, cultural arts, nonprofit, agriculture, risk management, chemical, energy, and business services. She has a proven track record of media placements, and has placed and authored bylined articles in trade publications for clients in a wide variety of industries.
Lucinda began her career as a reporter, working at a suburban daily newspaper in Kansas before joining The Kansas City Star. She covered local government and social services issues, in addition to features and general assignment beats. Later, she served as Assistant Director of University Communications at the University of Missouri-Kansas-City, where she led the university’s news and media relations effort and wrote extensively for alumni and constituent publications.
Lucinda has a B.A. in journalism from Kansas State University.
