Hersh, a former litigator, works out of DC with newsPRos clients in the DC/Northern Virginia region. His experience spans law, technology, and politics, providing him with a keen understanding of how to develop and implement communications strategies that that take into account legal, business and practical considerations.
He practiced law for seven years, including at an AmLaw 20 firm, representing executives and companies in a wide range of matters, including civil litigation, criminal cases, and investigations by the SEC, PCAOB, and U.S Attorneys. Prior to joining newsPRos, he held an in-house media relations position at a national litigation boutique in Washington, DC. He also worked for six years in marketing and communications in Silicon Valley, managing PR for a high-profile software start-up and a Nasdaq 100 semiconductor firm, as well as running his own communications consulting firm. In addition, he has handled media logistics for two national political campaigns, a presidential inauguration, and the White House.
Hersh is admitted to practice law in New York State and the District of Columbia, and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. He received his law degree from Georgetown University and his B.A. from Harvard University. Hersh primarily focuses on media relations issues related to data privacy and security, entertainment, media & advertising Internet governance, real estate, government contracts, and healthcare.
