Victoria Hofstad

Victoria Hofstad is a corporate communications specialist with financial sector expertise. She has extensive experience creating and implementing strategic public relations, media relations, and investor relations programs that shape corporate reputation and promote consistent messages to external and internal constituents.

Prior to joining PRos, Victoria was an independent public relations consultant with clients in the financial services and communications industries. Previously, she was a Vice President at SardVerbinnen & Co., a leading strategic communications firm, where she provided counsel and support on transactions, crises, investor relations and corporate positioning programs to public companies as well as private equity and financial services firms. Her client work included serving as a media representative for a tech-focused private equity firm, supporting communications for transactions as well as managing company announcements and day-to-day media inquiries. Significant transactions she worked on included the $11.3 billion buyout of a tech company by a private equity consortium (at the time, the largest tech buyout in history) and the sale of $315 million in hotel real estate assets. Other clients included global companies in diverse industries, including the chemical, consumer products, financial services, retail, publishing, utilities, technology and food sectors. Victoria joined Sard Verbinnen from Dewe Rogerson, the global financial communications and investor relations consultancy, where she was a Vice President and senior financial media relations and investor relations advisor.

Victoria started her career at ING Barings, managing public relations for the investment bankís U.S. and Latin American businesses and serving as spokesperson. At ING, she placed and managed media opportunities for the firmís investment banking, equity & debt capital markets, and research departments, and proactively promoted equity and fixed-income research to the financial and industry trade press in the U.S. and Latin America. She also coordinated the installation of a trading floor media link for on-site TV interviews and developed a media training program for authorized spokespersons, including senior executives as well as research analysts, bankers and select sales/trading executives.

Victoria has a B.A. in English and Philosophy from Lehman College, City University of New York.
